We have been to the Disneyland Parks over a dozen times in the last 6-7 years (since we've been married), and we have definitely eaten more than our fair share of Disneyland foods over the course of those trips. While there are few things that we have really NOT liked in our Disney eating adventures, there are far MORE things that we have dreamed about and craved since the moment we tasted them... and fell in foodie love. This list comprises the TEN BEST of those eating love affairs.

1. The Fried Chicken Meal at Plaza Inn at Disneyland is at the TOP of our eating experience list. It is delicious and filling and reasonably priced (especially if you share)... and we just LOVE it.

2. The Bengal Rice Plate at Bengal Barbecue at Disneyland is both tasty AND healthy. With some necessary dietary changes for both of us over the last couple of years, this provides the perfect eating combo for us at this season of our lives.

3. The Monte Cristo at New Orleans Café at Disneyland is the stuff of foodie legends. It is really just SO delicious!

4. The Corn Dog from Little Red Wagon Corn Dogs on Main Street at Disneyland is also on most foodie's "must eat" list. It is perfectly crunchy and supremely tasty, and if you can, you should indulge... at least once... per trip.

5. The Street Tacos Plate with Cilantro Lime Rice at Cocina Cucamonga at California Adventure is as good as it is simple. The tacos are well balanced, and the accompanying rice is something I find myself craving for days after eating it.

6. The Jambalaya at Blue Bayou at Disneyland is an eating pleasure. It is FULL of quality ingredients, and every bite packs a delicious punch. Please plan ahead though, as you will need a reservation for this restaurant, and if you are craving jambalaya, you will need to make that a lunch reservation, as this tasty meal is now only available on the restaurant's lunch menu.

7. The Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl at Pacific Wharf Café at California Adventure is always a good choice. The soup is warm and savory, and the bread bowl is sheer baking perfection.

8. The Holiday Festival Food Carts at California Adventure always provide more than a few creative food sensations. The flavor combinations cannot be beat, and you will almost assuredly try something utterly delicious that you have never tried before (but will crave from that day forward).

9. The High Tea at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel is a really special dining experience. The teas are some of the best I've had, and the accompanying tower of sandwiches and sweet treats are always a delight.

10. The Thunder Mountain Barbecue at Disneyland (which has sadly been discontinued) had to be mentioned here, as it was such a fun family tradition for us. We are hoping that the parks will offer a similar experience sometime soon.

It should also be mentioned that the Character Meals at Disneyland are also really special experiences, as they allow diners to have personal interactions with a number of beloved Disney characters while enjoying a meal. Our favorite Character Meal was at Ariel's Grotto, which has sadly been discontinued, but the Disneyland hotels do still offer some of these experiences, so you will definitely want to check them out.
